Ye Feimo spoke in great detail, and Wenman listened with keen interest. She didn't much enjoy reading Greek mythology, but her deepest impression of Athena came from the Gold Saint Warriors series. Now that Ye Feimo was recounting to her the story of Athena from Greek myths, she found it incredibly intriguing.
"How do you know so much about this" Wenman asked. Even before marrying him, she knew Ye Feimo had a wide-ranging knowledge base and understood almost everything. She never expected that he even knew this. Back when they were in Rome and Milan, he told her all sorts of things about the local culture, which was quite perplexing.
"Dad, Mom likes traveling, so she knows some things," Ye Feimo explained. Wenman nodded; both of them had single-lens reflex cameras with them, taking pictures constantly. The only difference being that while Wenman took photos of the scenery around her, Ye Feimo snapped pictures of her.
Every photo he shot contained an image of her.
The candid shots and the ones taken on the sly were all beautifully captured. Seeing his enthusiasm, Wenman also helped him take several photos. Originally, Ye Feimo wanted someone else to help them take a few group shots as well, but seeing how busy Wenman was taking pictures of the scenery around her, he kept quiet about it.
After wandering around the temple for some time, Ye Feimo received a call and his expression turned serious after listening. He couldn't help but look towards Wenman standing slightly apart from him. After hanging up, Wenman came over to ask, "Is there news of Mom Where did she go Who did she meet"
Ye Feimo replied, "She set sail."
"Set sail" Wenman frowned.
The Aegean Sea
Seemingly understanding what she was thinking about, Ye Feimo nodded. Indeed, her mother had sailed off to the Aegean Sea.
Sailing out into the sea made it hard to track someone down; they didn't know which direction she went in since her yacht was a private one. Truthfully, Ye Feimo told Wenman this information and her face turned serious as well.
"Why do you insist on knowing where Mom is Do I have something hidden from you" Ye Feimo wasn’t usually a suspicious person, but he felt that there was something amiss with how she reacted to the news.
"What could I possibly be hiding from you" Wenman retorted. After a short pause, she continued, "Do I need to tell you about everything"
Ye Feimo stared at her silently for some time; Wenman felt that what she said was somewhat too much and turned away.
She had no mood to appreciate the scenery at all. She didn't even have any feelings for famous attractions or world wonders.
After wandering around for a while, Nuwan wanted to leave. Ye Feimo led her downstairs.
He drove her around the city before heading back downtown. Throughout the journey, Nuwan thought about many things. This time out was meant to find answers; she wouldn't give up until she found them. "Fei Mo, is there really no way to know where Mom went"
"There's a way," Ye Feimo said.
"Can you help me check it out"
Ye Feimo smirked. "Of course I can help. How about the payment, though"
Nuwan was stunned. Could he be any more shameless He wanted to charge her for helping
Come on!
He had just been moody a moment ago and now he was being unreasonable.
"How much"
"Money is the last thing I need. How could I possibly be short of it" Ye Feimo said, glancing at Nuwan with interest as he added, "You know what I want."
"I don't," Nuwan replied bluntly. Ye Feimo didn't get angry; instead, he seemed to have anticipated that she would agree without hesitation. He kept quiet the whole way home and only took a phone call halfway through. He instructed someone to continue searching but Nuwan was unaware of it. She guessed that Ye Feimo had asked others to look for her mother's whereabouts, so surely he'd tell her once he found out.
That evening, when Ye Feimo still hadn't said anything, Nuwan felt disappointed and anxious. The housekeeper wasn't in the villa anymore; the fridge was full of food. When Nuwan asked where Mother Nu was, Ye Feimo was cooking in the kitchen.
How could he have any skills Even a simple egg noodle dish looked plain and tasteless. Watching him flustered over cooking brought back memories of her mother washing his clothes and making meals for him. Her heart ached with sorrow.
What was good about getting divorced
No longer would there be Ye Feimo's embrace, his domineering nature, nor his tenderness.
For whom did she wash and cook For whom was she working so hard
In an instant, many things came to mind—his stomach ailment, making her heart even softer.
Su Tenglong had always been concerned about Ye Feimo; if he got divorced and his health deteriorated due to his stubborn nature, it would be troubling since he wasn't very healthy anyway.
The egg noodles were already overcooked, but he hadn't turned off the stove. Su Tenglong's heart ached seeing this, feeling angry and worried all at once; she pushed him out of the kitchen.
"You're so dumb, you can’t even cook a bowl of egg noodles." Su Tenglong murmured as she threw away the noodles. With such a picky appetite, he probably wouldn't eat them like this.
Ye Feimo obediently stood aside while she looked at the refrigerator's ingredients and decided to fry him some steak. Western cuisine was one of her specialties, and since it was impromptu, she figured steak would suit Ye Feimo’s taste.
"You haven't cooked for me in a long time." Ye Feimo murmured almost subconsciously, his tone carrying an unusual touch of vulnerability and complaint.
Su Tenglong's movements froze, her heart feeling heavy with pain and bitterness. What was she doing He could eat whatever he wanted; if he liked cooking noodles, why did she have to interrupt him
Even if the food wasn't tasty or even if he went hungry, those would be his own problems.
Someday, she would leave him.
She had to.
He would eventually have to deal with everything alone. Perhaps he might find another woman to cook for him.
The thought caused Su Tenglong's heart to ache uncontrollably.
"You just need to go out and do it for a while before you can eat." Many thoughts crossed her mind, but she never could bring herself to be too harsh. The harshest thing she had ever done to Ye Feimo in this lifetime was probably getting divorced.
She would soften every time he fumbled around clumsily.
Why did they need a divorce
Was she really considering the divorce Who was she fooling
"I'll just watch you cook," Ye Feimo said, his eyes lingering on her figure that belonged to him. It was his forever.
This woman would always belong to him for a lifetime.
“Suit yourself!”
She started frying steaks while preparing stir-fried noodles at the same time. Her movements were swift, and in no time she had cooked the steak, prepared some side dishes, then fried a bowl of seafood noodle soup, and squeezed out a glass of fresh pineapple juice.
Suddenly, Ye Feimo wrapped his arms around her from behind with great force, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones, never letting go again.
Her body stiffened. She had been trying hard to avoid any physical contact, especially intimate ones, with Ye Feimo. This was the thing she dreaded most about him; she could never be too cold towards him.
"It's ready," said Nuwan softly, her expression turning dull and grey as she lowered her eyes.
His heart felt like it was soaking in a hot spring ever since the accident. After losing their child, he had never experienced such warmth at home again. It seemed that his cherished family had broken apart irreparably.
Even when they were engaged in intimate acts, she had never made him feel this close before.
It felt as if they had never quarreled, and everything was still the same.hei saw him arriving at Longmen headquarters, he followed behind him respectfully. They had all heard about what happened to Ye Feimo, but this time no one knew why he was coming here. No one dared to...
